St. Cloud, MN—The St. Cloud VA Medical Center and its Community Based Outpatient Clinics will offer H1N1 vaccine shots and seasonal flu shots at no charge to Veterans who receive their health care through the VA. Both H1N1 shots and seasonal flu shots will be offered at the following locations, dates and times:
St. Cloud VA Medical Center
- Tuesday, January 5 – 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. VA Auditorium (Building 8)
- Wednesday, January 6 – 9:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. – VA Auditorium (Building 8)
- Tuesday, January 12 – 8:00 a.m. – Noon – VA Auditorium (Building 8)
Alexandria Community Based Outpatient Clinic
- Tuesday, January 12 – 10:00 a.m. – Noon and 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
Montevideo Community Based Outpatient Clinic
- Wednesday, January 20 – 10:00 a.m. – Noon and 1:00 p.m. – 3:00 p.m.
Brainerd Community Based Outpatient Clinic
- Thursday, January 21 – 8:00 a.m. – Noon and 1:00 p.m. – 4:00 p.m.
“Immunization against both types of influenza is very important,” said Meri Hauge, Associate Director for Patient Care Services/Nurse Executive. “Each year, about 36,000 Americans die from seasonal flu‐related causes and so far, 52 Minnesotans have died from H1N1 influenza complications. We want to protect our Veterans, so we encourage them to take advantage of these clinics.”
