6 County Veteran Service Offices share Billboard
6 County Veteran Service Offices combined advertising efforts for local Veteran community. Pennington, Polk / Red Lake, Roseau, Kittson, and Marshall counties worked together to erect a billboard depicting the CVSO's picture and contact information with the goal to get the word out that the CVSO in these communities are here to assist their local Veterans and Veteran's families.

90,000 'blue water' Vietnam veterans in line for benefits
“June 5, 2019 was a major victory for veterans who served in the territorial waters of Vietnam; DOJ announced they will not appeal the decision to provide “Blue Water” veterans access to VA benefits. This group was previously denied presumptive illness related to Agent Orange. In Minnesota this could impact up to 18,000 veterans.”

The GI Bill Turns 75 years old.
The GI Bill has been taking care of veterans for 75 years. On June, 22 in 1944 the U.S. adopted the Servicemen's Readjustment Act, better known as the GI Bill. This historic legislation is widely credited with helping establish the American middle class, expanding access to education and helping veterans successfully transition from military to civilian life.
